From Korea to the Netherlands
Hi, my name is Soojin and I was born in Korea. My passion for cooking began early on. In Korea, I ran the restaurant ‘Lekker’ together with my Dutch husband; as a trained chef, I was able to combine my love for Korean cuisine with my profession.
Two cultures, one passion for good food
We moved to the Netherlands with our children in 2021. Once here, one big dream remained: bringing a piece of Korea to the Netherlands. For me, everything comes together with Korean Food Lovers: my love for cooking, Korean food culture, and the joy of sharing this with as many people as possible.
Enjoying Korean cuisine together
By my side is my best friend Hieke, who is Dutch. She handles the marketing, communications, and part of the organization behind Korean Food Lovers. But you won’t just find her behind the scenes; you’ll also regularly see her alongside me at our events, where she shares my enthusiasm for good food, great company, and our food truck.
